This is a good deal for anyone who just bought a laptop with 1x16 single channel stick of RAM.

This is for a 2x8 instead of 1x16. Nevertheless, I'll echo what everyone is saying - this is not a slickdeal by any means. This is the current market price.
Click on the 16GB dual rank option for 1x16GB stick at the same price.

DS918+ uses DDR3L, not DDR4, so no

CAS Latency 19? Pass. I'd rather pay $13 more for Hyperx Impact.
I just ordered an 8gb stick of hyperx for $40 that comes tomorrow. Already have an 8gb Kingston in that came with my new dell. There's no reason I should use this one instead and send the hyper back right? Right? Lol

I was going to pick this but it looks like the rated 2666 speed is only if your laptop supports XMP profile. if your laptop bios does not have XMP, the speeds goes to 2400. So beware. In the reviews I read, they wanted to return to get the cheaper 2400 option. In the current case, the price is the same for both 2400 and 2666.

I wouldn't recommend mixing different RAM model/brand. If it's the same latency and speed, theoretically it shouldn't matter but I think the PC community recommends that users keep the RAM same brand and same model. I have a 8 Gb on my Dell laptop and my intention was to buy the same brand/model but I'm not finding much on 3rd-party websites and I'm not paying out my ass for the same exact part from Dell. It's much cheaper for me to buy 2 x 8Gb RAM made by other reputable brands.

Edit: so if the one you bought is the same latency, same clock speed, and same brand as the RAM module on your laptop, there's no need to buy this one. This one is a single module, and your laptop with two RAM modules would allow dual channel.

With that said, this deal for this particular brand would match the Lenovo laptops as that brand laptop uses Crucial as their OEM provider for RAM.
