I never realized some people actually like the firm ones. I'm solidly in the soft gummy camp myself and love this brand. I will have to check out Albaneese.
You are in for a taste explosion. albanese is best by far.

Haribo, Albaneese,
i prefer the albanese 12 flavor, harbiro's are too sweet.
i got a 5lbs albanese on prime last month for under $12

Albaneese has the best flavors though. It's medium firm.
Indeed. Curse those who turned me on to the 12 flavor Albanese Gummies - so addicting.

Great deal for the Black Forest though - Decent taste & consistency IMHO.

Bag says "colors from real sources", but ingredients state made with food colors. Which is it?

For some reason, my office has every major type of gummy bear available. We have Haribo, Albaneese, and Black Forest.

These are the least firm by far, if that matters to you. I personally prefer the firmness of the Haribo ones. I like to work for it.

Albaneese has the best flavors though. It's medium firm.
Did you Minor in gelatin candy?

Why would you think they're different? There are natural food colors as well.

The colors are from fruit and vegetable matter, not petroleum based dyes that are in Albanese and Haribo (i.e. yellow #7)

Everyone has their own personal taste, and I think you'll enjoy these if you want something a little "softer" than Haribo. I like them all, and this is a solid deal.

I did place an order - $7.89 shipped and the grandkids can tear them up 'just' before I return them to the parents - lol...

LOL, I came to pretty much say that.

I bought these years ago, while at work. They were mush. I never saw a company be so cheap, with such a ridiculously high water content, and low gelatin content. Even crappy store brands use slightly less water.

Haribo are my favorite, since the water content is low, and a high gelatin content. You could literally soak Haribo's in water for a while, letting em swell to twice the size, and they would = Black Forest gummy bears. Albeit with a better flavor than BF.

OR, Leave the Haribo's in the water overnight, for really cute, almost first sized gummy bears. Be warned, they will be mushy if you move them. & add sugar/cool aid, if you actually want to eat it after.

So I was ready to put out a snarky "Hey, enough high fructose corn syrup here to give the whole block diabetes!" But, first I decided to check their website. The website looks so happy and friendly! There are phases like "Full transparency," "All Natural," and "Made with Fruit Juices" bandied about the site. Oddly, the "Ingredients" section was vague, saying (vaguely):

"Since the beginning, we've been determined to make the world's most delicious snacks using an extra thoughtful approach. Today, both our classic and organic treats give you a delicious way to snack with premium ingredients, passion, and a touch of love packed into each bite.

"Each Organic Gummy and Organic Fruit Snack is made with Certified USDA Organic** ingredients. From the coloring to the flavor, it's real!"

But nothing specific. And for those of you in the back row, yes, high fructose corn syrup is "natural"; So is cyanide.

I persisted. Finally found the unverified (by me) ingredients on Fooducate. They give the product a D+. First ingredient on the list? You guessed it. The sinister corn syrup. Top of the list for this fully transparent, all natural, made with natural ingredients product.

So much for transparency.

Oh, side note; the gelatin is apparently made with pig skin (the stuff they make/made footballs out of). So if eating Kosher is your thing see if you can get your Rabbi to bless this.

Bon appitit!

Cancelled the Albanese order from last deal since didn't ship yet for me to get these I prefer these more and also saved $1 and got another pound.
Many thanks OP and mucho thanks to Magowin. Had one of those "light bulb moments" where I seemed to recall placing a similar Albanese order, which I cancelled, and purchased these. Except for this deal, they look 'spensive, but this is a good time for sampling methinks. Thanks again. Applause
