LOL, I came to pretty much say that.

I bought these years ago, while at work. They were mush. I never saw a company be so cheap, with such a ridiculously high water content, and low gelatin content. Even crappy store brands use slightly less water.

Haribo are my favorite, since the water content is low, and a high gelatin content. You could literally soak Haribo's in water for a while, letting em swell to twice the size, and they would = Black Forest gummy bears. Albeit with a better flavor than BF.

OR, Leave the Haribo's in the water overnight, for really cute, almost first sized gummy bears. Be warned, they will be mushy if you move them. & add sugar/cool aid, if you actually want to eat it after.
Yes, I slept and left an open bag of these and in the morning they were all dehydrated and wrinky and mattified. That would never happen with haribo. Also the taste was underwhelming and sweet. Reminded me of GV gummies.

How does this compare to costco? Costco's are individually sealed bags though
Costco box I have here says 3lb 4oz. They are individually sealed, as you are aware.

This one looks like a giant bag so while less convenient for the kids going back to school, you arent opening a small pouch just to eat 5 pieces and throwing plastic away being eco unfriendly.

The last bag I bought took me about 5-6 years to eat. The things were rock hard which is what I like.

So I was ready to put out a snarky "Hey, enough high fructose corn syrup here to give the whole block diabetes!" But, first I decided to check their website. The website looks so happy and friendly! There are phases like "Full transparency," "All Natural," and "Made with Fruit Juices" bandied about the site. Oddly, the "Ingredients" section was vague, saying (vaguely):

"Since the beginning, we've been determined to make the world's most delicious snacks using an extra thoughtful approach. Today, both our classic and organic treats give you a delicious way to snack with premium ingredients, passion, and a touch of love packed into each bite.

"Each Organic Gummy and Organic Fruit Snack is made with Certified USDA Organic** ingredients. From the coloring to the flavor, it's real!"

But nothing specific. And for those of you in the back row, yes, high fructose corn syrup is "natural"; So is cyanide.

I persisted. Finally found the unverified (by me) ingredients on Fooducate. They give the product a D+. First ingredient on the list? You guessed it. The sinister corn syrup. Top of the list for this fully transparent, all natural, made with natural ingredients product.

So much for transparency.

Oh, side note; the gelatin is apparently made with pig skin (the stuff they make/made footballs out of). So if eating Kosher is your thing see if you can get your Rabbi to bless this.

Bon appitit!

Interesting I will keep fooducate in reference for the future. Apparently Hasboro gets the same rating: https://www.fooducate.com/product/Haribo%20Gummy%20Bears%20Gold%20Bears%20Gummy%20Candy/97F39504-D16... [fooducate.com]

For some reason, my office has every major type of gummy bear available. We have Haribo, Albaneese, and Black Forest.

These are the least firm by far, if that matters to you. I personally prefer the firmness of the Haribo ones. I like to work for it.

Albaneese has the best flavors though. It's medium firm.
I agree and I love how I'm not the only one who ranks gummi bears. I'd actually say these are so bad, weird texture and almost no flavour, that they are one of the worst candies on the market.

I actually like these more than most. Eating a bag of any other would give me a stomach ache. (I mean a regular "single serving" bag you buy in the store, not a 6 lb. bag!)
In fact I wound up going on a sugar strike because I was eating too many of these!

Yes, I got a couple of down votes from the allergic to everything, but most of it's in their head, group! LOL

1) Does yummy candy actually exist? I mean, people don't eat candy to be healthy. But then again, fruit juice is worse than cool aid, health wise.

2) Surprised they didn't use pig bones. All the delicious & nutritious gelatin (collagen = protein), usually comes from bones. Part of the reason you boil chicken bones so long, when making stock.
2b) Yes, I know skin & cartilage are used too...

Mmmm...Yummy.
Could melt it & set it in a giant gummy bear mold. Not like your mouth/stomach can tell the difference. But, now I want one of those giant gummy balls. Jealous!

Then again, it melted that badly since Black Forest uses so little gelatin/too much water. Haribo would have weathered better.

I hear that pink erasers could withstand desert heat even better than those
