It used to be that one season = 1 year of tv production. I'm pretty sure "Chopped" hasn't been around for 43 years.

I'm curious how they determine "seasons" nowadays...

Any input is much appreciated!

Looks like every 13 episodes or so is considered a season.

It's actually more technically correct, in that they're actually seasons, as in about 4 a year - one in the summer, one in the fall, one in the winter, one in the spring Smilie

per google, on 8/20 S42E06 will premier of Chopped, then the following week, S43E01 will air on 8/27, meaning S42 of Chopped lasted 6 episodes........

So why comment? You aren't really adding anything to the discussion (then again, neither am I except to criticize you).

It's to get post count high on your account, hence the reason many threads are full of useless posts.

So that there are comments. It's sad when someone posts a decent deal and doesn't get comments. Also, in case it doesn't get many thumbs up the OP still gets some encouragement to keep posting deals. Every deal you see is posted by *someone* and I'd prefer they feel appreciated.
I swear, the people who reply to "weird" comments are always way weirder than the person who made the original comment.

You can just change it to season 42 to see it was 13 episode, as was 41, as was 40. Just check directly on amazon.
