It looks like Secondipity is clearing out the Sony 2018 F models. These are refurbs from Secondipity, which according to previous posts is the official refurbisher for Sony. I hesitated on the deal a few weeks ago and missed out, but it seems that people who ordered had good experiences: https://slickdeals.net/f/13277176-sony-sale-at-secondipity-refurbs-75x900f-for-1350-ac-55a8f-oled-900-ac-and-many-others

Just got the 75900F delivered 2 days ago and it seems like there are no issues. Contemplating if the 65Z9F would be preferable.

Hmm, I'm not seeing the X900f for $1282. Even after the coupon

Edit: Ignore...Silly boy can't do math.

They offer a warranty through Consumer Priority Service....but I know zilch about their reputation. If price is right - it may still be worth it but not for me.

I wouldn't touch any Sony refurbs regardless of the price. I bought an refurbished X930D which died within a year. Sony knew about an issue with the tv and dumped them as refurbs so they could deny any warranty coverage. They extended all the warranties for retail purchases to 5 years. Really farking shady business practices.

I had a Sony x930d that developed a horizontal line through the set after 16 months of ownership so it was outside the 1 year warranty. I called and spoke to a couple of people for about 20 minutes; they asked for serial number and receipt. The next day they called me back and said they were going to replace it. Sony replaced the set with a brand new X900F and gave me a two year warranty on the replacement. You may be right about that particular issue, however, my experience has been extremely solid with Sony warranty support over the years. The fact is, that power delivery issue was handled the way every major company I have ever seen handle such issues. Any returned sets get refurbished and sold with a limited warranty. Samsung, LG, Vizio, Sharp, Panasonic, etc. all handle it the exact same way.

Granted, but I would not touch any of these with a ten foot pool..no thank you.
Would be pretty tough. Imagine they don't work good in that depth of water.

I have no doubt their warranty support is decent, but it doesn't apply to refurbished TVs. The power boards in this model last 12 months at best and Sony had no problems having them sold to unsuspecting consumers. Most manufacturers provide at least a 90 day refurb warranty which would be extended for an issue like this. Sony provides none. Also credit card extended warranties don't apply because there's no manufacturer warranty.

Great price. Tempted to return my Costco 65 inch C8 OLED for the 75 x900f. The 65 inch has felt small with a 14 foot view distance. Hard to give up Costco warranty for essentially no warranty though.

I wouldn't OLED is still the better way to go even at that distance.

They've had the 75x900E at $999 several times over the past few months while they had stock. There's no reason to think the 900F won't get down to that price as well if you're willing to wait. They are refurbs so expect that Secondipity gets big stock increases after big buy times like Black Friday, Christmas, and the Super Bowl.

Maybe I'll wall mount the TV and get one that pulls out the tv 2 ft. OLEDs just look so good but the 77 inch models are so pricey.
