this one I know...

I have spoke with Sony twice and they assured that warranty would not be honored for purchases made with this vendor.

so this definitely requires getting a SquareTrade or other reputable 3rd party extended warranty.

Man I'm so sick of these deal alerts going off for these headphones from unauthorized dealers.

Do Chase credit cards, such as Chase Ultimate Freedom, have extended warranty coverage that applies to this scenario?

This is the language: "Eligible items that are purchased with yourChase Freedom Unlimited could have the original manufacturer's warranty extended by up to one additional year on eligiblewarranties of three years or less. Coverage is limited to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 per account."

If there's no warranty, there's nothing to double.

That's what I fear.

In for 1 as I mainly am looking for the sound quality edge over the Bose QC 35.

Update:
I purchased these on the the 19th of August, and received tracking on the 20th. Estimated delivery on the 22nd. Initially had an estimated delivery date of 'by September 6th'. Shipped out way earlier than expected.

How soon are the XM4's coming out? May just hold it out until then and hope for some nice features like multi-device pairing instead of risking it without a warranty.
