Missed the variety kit last time. Saw a targeted $5 ebay code in my ebay account so I decided to get it from ebay and made it $21 shipped. Thanks!
How to know if I'm targeted for $5 code?

Guess GCU doesnt apply?
It does apply. just used it for the variety kit which made it 19.99 before tax.

What's a good age to build these? Tempted to buy for my young son and stash for a few years but not sure if I'm better off just waiting.

My son is 7 and can do most of it himself, some of it frustrates him or he needs help and we work through it together. I think 5 or younger would be pretty hard. Ideal age is probably more like 8 / 9.

I just saw it when I logged into my account. It was right there on the page and I just had to click on it to copy it to use on the payment page.

Still amazed that Nintendo fanboys were willing to pay $70 for literal cardboard. What's next - buying a Switch that doesn't even switch?
Let's just ignore there's a game card inside with software on it.

I'm a die hard Nintendo collector, and even I couldn't justify paying full retail for these when they first released! LOL! Glad I waited!

Great deal w/ GCU. Just remember that the games themselves are pretty shallow on these first few kits -- they supposedly improved significantly on the vehicle kit and VR kit.

I missed the veriety kit last time so I bought it this time. I wonder if I should get the robot too...the idea sounds fun but if it's just walk around and knock down building and fly and land...it's probably just about 2 hrs before we got bored with the game...
