Depends...Are you going to by writing your notes or typing with a keyboard?

Since you are stating getting the pen with in both instances, it sounds like you are going to be writing all your notes down. If that is the case, I would get the iPad. It is very fluid and great for note taking with the pen. If you are using a keyboard and then using the pen for highlighting and such, I think I would prefer Samsung due to being able to utilize Samsung Dex, which I think is pretty great.

Just depends overall how you plan on utilizing your tablet. If you already have an iPhone, I would go with the iPad that way you can have synchronization between your devices; aka you can answer texts, facetimes, etc. that would normally go to your phone on your iPad. Hope this helps!

Side note: Personally, I'm an android boy so I am waiting to see what comes out of the Tab S6. The S6 has the latest processor, upgraded camera, it weighs about 15% less, storage space starts at 128gb and 6gb of ram (can upgrade to 8gb), and in-display fingerprint reader. I guess the only downside of the S6 would be no headphone jack. But I have a usb-c to 3.5mm dongle and I have Samsung Buds, which are said to work the best with Samsung devices so I'm not worried.

I just received mine. I recommend these apps to customize the tablet. Samsung Good Lock with QuickStar to customize the quick menu. You can find it in galaxy apps on the device. Also Simple Control which puts the navigation bar on each side of the screen.

I wish I knew this existed a long time ago. Since it is only available in the Samsung Galaxy Store, is it available for non Samsung devices?

Not really... You can sideload the apks from apkmirror and try but I believe it works alongside One UI/Samsung Experience.

I have an iPad and love but got one of these because I've got android for everything else. Big difference is no home button, which is very odd not to have if you're used to it. Also, Galaxy tabs are more rectangular than iPads. Amazed at how much it bugged me. Ended up returning the galaxy and keeping my iPad.

Thanks OP. Got one. Missed the last week deal for 400 and feeling bad. This is even better with 50 GC. Curious why this thread is not on fire.
