I saw this model at the store, and I have to say I still like the TCL 6 series picture better. Plus, the Roku interface on the TCL is so much better then the current Vizio GUI.

Yeah but the 6 series tops at 65".

Might want to double check that: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/tcl-...Id=6319339

Well then, I'm not sure why their official website lists 55" and 65" only.

I was definitely looking at a 75-inch TCL 6 Series set. My biggest gripe about the Vizio Quantum P Series is that everything is so boosted that the actual image looks ridiculous. Even after fiddling with the picture controls for about 10 minutes, I couldn't tame the image enough to make it look natural instead of overprocessed and garish. Maybe some people like that kind of image on their TV, but I don't see it as an improvement over the much cheaper TCL set.

I have been eyeing for a deal on TCL 6 Series 75" or larger TV and I thought they don't go beyond 65" but also read some QC issues with some of the TCL lineups, since 6 series is one of their top models i was hoping they have better QC.

Coincidentally, they just announced their 2019 6 series lineup yesterday, which doesn't include a 75" anymore. The one I linked is the 2018 model. Looks like they dropped 75" from the 6 series to force you to move up to the 8 series for it.

It appears that TCL is featuring the newly released 6 series with QLED over the older 6 series without QLED and the 75 inch QLED TV is not yet available but you can find the entire 6 series line if you dig a little deeper on the website. I own the TCL 75R617 and am completely satisfied with its performance. The 75 inch was released 6 months after the 65 inch and either they resolved the quality issues in that time frame or a different assembly line has made a big impact on the quality as user reviews of the 75 inch show little of the quality issues that made the 65 inch a gamble. One issue i ran into if you plan to locate a 75 inch in a living room is that the TV is so tall when on a typical stand that you have to rethink how you light the room. My ceiling fan/light is a spotlight in the upper half of the TV when on and no amount of anti glare would resolve this. I now use lights that are on the side or behind and not directly overhead which has resulted in a much brighter picture and easier on the eyes as well. Do not underestimate how the rooms lighting is impacting how your current or new TV looks.
