While this is a new recent low for this card by $10, Newegg is pulling a lot of these pricing tricks to make the promo code deals look better than they are. It has been at $270 to $280 over most of last month at Newegg and elsewhere, not the regular price they look like they are discounting from.

Does the performance justify the extra $50 over the $190 RX 590?

Easily. The upgrades become less better and more costly after this card but 590 to 1660ti is a big jump for only $50

It is always like that, even with clothing and other merchandise. They bring up the original price as comparison to the new sale price.
Where is the rebate gonna be from? Newegg? Or Asus?

yes, it's about 15-30% faster, runs cooler and quieter, and uses ~90W less power.

I have this card, the heatsink is awful on this card and the fans are too small. At load, the card reaches 84 C (room temp 22C) with an open case. Anything over 45% fan speed is loud and whiny.

My workaround was to undervolt and underclock to 0.85V with a 10% performance hit. Now the card runs quiet at 74C and max fan speed 45%.

the 1660ti, newer and faster
Are you sure? Benchmarks look better on the Vega56, but FPS doesn't seem any better. Think I'm gonna hold out til Black Friday. No reason to expect anything but price drops in the future.

Well that kinda sucks! I was hoping being that it's an x60 card it wouldn't need all that much cooling. The big-fan brethren of it cost $70+ more
