Hahah, ' True Deal Hunters'! You do realize that except for a couple of unicorn situations, the all- time low price for this 65" model has been averaging around the $1599 mark. This is a solid deal for a 65" C8 OLED.

And you get a warranty regardless of if the dealer is authorized or not- as exhaustively explained in the last 9.883 LG TV threads- and also made clear by reading the actual warranty instead of scare language on the web.

No matter if some were able to reproduce (and even bought multiples) there were far more people who weren't able to reproduce. Definition of ymmv.

can someone please explain how this is down voted? Because game liquidations is not an authorized retailer?

65C8 has been $999 or lower brand new from retailers. True deal hunters know a deal when they see one. This is not a deal.

Exactly. And as far as I know SlickDeals is for deals of varying degrees. I mean there being a better, expired, deal in the past doesn't all of a sudden make this deal invalid. Unless there's a current deal that beats it, there's no need to poop on it.

And even then, SD'ers have credit built up with lots of retailers and there may be a preference to buy at a specific store over another even if it means the asking price is a few bucks more.

65C8 for <999?
Please share a link.
Did not see that except for the SAMS club deal which was not reproducible by anyone else.

This is almost certainly why. Warranty important in an OLED.

This. This Exactly.

I mean, how stupid do you have to be.

"One seller had this TV for $1,200 nine months ago. Horrible deal! HARD PASS!"

WTF? Pull your head out of your Clavin, Cliff!
