Dang and all I got was the BOGO and not the 15% because I ordered earlier this month. Loving my new glasses though. Pretty cool that you can select the country where they will send a free pair of glasses to a needy person who cannot afford glasses.

How long did it take for you to get them?

Ordered 2 pair on Thursday the 8th in the afternoon hours. Got them today, Friday the 16th. Nice small shipping box which fit easily into my small mailbox. Each pair came in a little microfiber drawstring pouch that doubles as a cleaning cloth. The free "case" is a little sliding box that can be used over and over or recycled as cardboard.

Be sure to measure your old frames and select the same or very similar size or else you may have fitment issues.

EDIT - my review having tried on my new ones:

I've been using this company for over 7 years. The basic lenses for under $10 are my go to lenses. They would be great for growing teens or people who lose or break them often.

Got 2 pairs with shipping for $17.42 each pair this time. In past I've upgraded to the UV coating and premium water repellent coating and found that those didn't make a huge difference. People outdoors all day or using them for long periods of driving during daytime would of course want the UV coating, but keep in mind a lot of modern auto glass tint has UV filter as do most modern windows in homes or offices.

I do know people who have the $250+ Tommy Hilfigure or Rayban frames and those frames will last a decade with proper care. But they look a bit dated fashionwise as time goes on & still get scratches on them.

I was going to splurge on the EBDBLUE glasses to block blue light but then I found a program called f.lux that can reduce blue light right at the source. If you use same laptop or PC all the time it may be easier route. There are blue light reduction apps for phones too.

Do I need to log in to my Amex account to see if I'm eligible for this promotion? Or should I be looking for an email from Amex? Many thanks in advance hug

If you want single vision glasses eyebuydirect is ok but I have two pairs from them and the nosepads included have this oppressive chemical aroma which does not go away with time or cleaning, so both pairs I replaced with silicone non slip pads from store.

Also, if you have a bifocal prescription that is too high for their sensitive online interface it will reject it, I placed a call to their customer service and I tell them the exact frames I want to order and they will not complete the order over the phone and tell me the only way to purchase from them is from the website, I suppose it is too difficult for their phone support in the Philippines to take a simple order 🙄

Prescription glasses at Goggle4u are much cheaper and comparable quality. You get for half the price. Of course they take 2 weeks to deliver. I received a pair of glasses just yesterday. Their website is crappy.

I personally have been buying eyebuydirect frames for around 5 years now. Quality is very subpar, past 3 frames have all broken or cracked from atleast one place. The frames bend easily and are not worth the price at all. Very disappointed with my past few frames and I definitely will not order from them again. Even though I hate to say it, but I'd rather buy luxxotica frames even with the higher price tag.

I respectfully disagree with this. I have purchased from both places and my goggle4u just sit in a drawer as a backup pair.

I will say I've purchased two different glasses (a cheaper one and a more expensive one from EBD) and the more expensive one felt like a premium pair of glasses.

They're very solid for the price.

I've bought over 20 pairs of glasses in 6 years span and none "broke" or "cracked" on its own. I don't use cases nor any protector sleeves. I literally just use my pockets for transport. I must also note that I only buy frames <$25. I must say, though, that anything less than 12-15 feels like cheap plastic from the dollar store. 20+ is wearable, no complaints.

I wouldn't ever break my glasses either if I got a new pair every six months.
