Hey guys so for what it's worth I work for Bose and can provide some insight to some of the questions that have been asked.

Authorized Reseller - No but tbh it doesn't matter really. When we do warranty lookup we typically just go by the serial number which adds 3 months to the time that the seller received the product. So as long as these aren't really old products that have been sitting in a warehouse forever you should have a warranty and you also should be able to register them through Bose.

Power Switch issue where the light stays on. This was an issue on some early series 1 units but it's extremely rare that we see this issue on the series 2.

Popping/creaking sound - popping no that doesn't really happen. The creaking sound that some people hear is just the hinge and the earcup moving. These are extremely durable and have a lot of give and flexibility. Sometimes you'll hear a very slight sound when you're moving them around like it needs some lubricant but I rarely see this and you can't hear it with music and the ANR active.

Avoiding latest firmware - Don't download or use the Bose Connect app and there you go. But keep in mind you won't be able to set google assistant or Alexa or use the AR without it. You can always open the app set it up and close the app as it takes around 40 minutes to update via WiFi anyways.

ANR sound degradation. - As someone who sees, services, sells and uses this. It's complete bullshit to be honest. I work in NYC where we have more of these out and about on a daily basis than anywhere else in the country and if this was an actual issue than we would see a lot more complaints/returns or exchanges. I've literally never had one come back for that reason. I've seen the reviews online we've tested in stores and at corporate and I'm sure some people May have had issues with their headphones and correlated this to the update but I feel like it's not accurate and very small amount of people are even making this claim compared to the amount of people buying and using them including myself who's running the latest firmware with no issues or differences.

Micro USB - Yes they use micro USB instead of USB C. I know that's a pain point for people but it comes with the cable and a pocket to hold it. Has a quick charge which gives you 2.5 hours in 15 minutes and 1.5-2 hour charge gives you 20 hours of battery wireless and 40 wired.

Compared to Sony - They're both really good it's just personal preference I guess at this point. The end user experience of getting service/support or parts is typically better through Bose it quality of both headphones are very good.

Think I got everything and hope this helps. FYI I'm not a brainwashed delusional Bose employee I know that we have several products that don't live up to the standards we are used to but this is not one of them. In my opinion the Headphone 700 is superior on a lot of levels but at this price point if you're on the fence I would pull the trigger don't see you getting it much cheaper elsewhere.

Got this deal about 2 weeks ago. Received it quickly and it was sealed in brand new condition. Registered it successfully with Bose. Also in the previous thread, other buyers have also verified its authenticity. One person has already gone through warranty with Bose.

The answer is virtually guaranteed to be no.

Stupidly Bose doesn't put a dealer list on their site.

But there's this info....

dont buy any of bose qc35 (i & ii). their fws suck and will degrade the nc capability to just be that of a $50 pair.
I have the original going on 3 years now and i don't feel like the firmwares have negatively impacted my headphones. I have seen the reports. That said, the switch is crapping out and turns on when it's in the off position, luckily there is a ghetto diy fix.

I've had mine for over a year. Use them every day, they still sound amazing, are super comfortable, and have the latest FW updates. Do you own a pair?

These or the Sony WH-1000XM3's? They can be found for around the same price now, but the Sony's are newer.

Sony wh1000xm3. Combines the sound quality of the wh1000xm2 with the comfort of bose style headphones. Not to mention USB c charging!

yes the series i since 2016. and do you know how to use google? if so, google for this issue and you will find this issue being reported by several owners of i and ii.
I'm using it from from last 6 months had no issues. If we google on any products you will get hell lot of issues. Because they post it on web only if they have some issues with any product and to get solution.
Tell me a single product which is released over a year ago and no issues reported lol

The last firmware was reported by many people it degrades the NC quality but Bose claims the other way, do you experience it? Thanks.

Never had one cracking, popping or any sound issue with either pair of the headphones.
