If you wanted to buy something from Gap or Banana republic, and you were denied a sale price because you wanted to pay with a GC, keep the ad/receipt. Because its another lawsuit waiting to happen. In many States, GC has to be treated like cash, yet the bone heads at Gap/BR decided that sales should be exclusive to non GC holders.

They are going to get burned on this shitty move.

Never support a company that does shit like this.

I don't support that they did whatever they did, but their jackets and pants are really fantastic quality.

Thanks definitely made some purchases. Been avoiding GAP brands for a couple of years. GAP gives those stupid paper merchandise credit checks instead of a GC. The merchandise credit can also only be used in store.

Not really much but something is better than nothing and the extra $6 is not worth digging up anything, so easy to file for $6.
Reminds me of Steve Martin's character in "The Jerk" writing out all those checks.
Repped OP.

So this is basically BR/Gap being forced to pay for an advertising campaign? I mean if the class action is "successful", it will just drive traffic to the stores where people will undoubtedly spend more than $6. What can you get for $6? A pair of socks? They probably spend more than this per customer when they do 40% off sales there.

The lawyers got paid though, and I'm sure BR/Gap will never do anything wrong again.

Luckily i live close by a BR outlet. 6 bucks off is 6 bucks off.
