Nope. You charge the battery out of the camera with a usb cable. The only approved direct charge is via a solar panel trickle charge that keeps it topped off after you fully charge it the first time as it still needs the battery for all functions. Battery life is dependent on the camera settings and how good of a wireless connection you have.

Amazon sells several after market adaptors to "make it" hardwired but they kill the battery with too much constant charge and they can lead to the camera circuitry being damaged.

The reviews I found, before buying from Home Depot's $124 sale a couple weeks ago, mostly said that although shown as being able to be placed in direct weather conditions there are too many places where heavy rain, dirt & bugs can get into the case so they are better suited for install under eaves, patios or porches.

Seen this price a couple of other times but nothing cheaper. I bought a couple of the wired ones during prime day and they work well.

i always thought these battery stick up cam has a microUSB in the back so you can plug it in to any micro USB and it will become hardwire no?

The Battery models are compatible with the Ring Solar Panel set. But I don't think they have a MicroUSB port like the Wired Stick Up Cam, as the Solar Panel uses a different type of adapter.

I got about 3 months with mine with 5-10 recordings per day I think. I added a solar panel so now it's been at 99% the whole month.

i picked up 2 a couple weeks ago at this price. Love almost everything about them but 1 missing feature probably has me returning them. No geofencing. I have cameras looking at my back and front yard. When my phone or my wife's phone is home, i don't want any alerts. If we are both not home, i want alerts. If we are both home but it's ~11 PM to 6AM when we are sleeping, and there's motion, i want alerts.I would hate to have to manually snooze each camera's alerts every time we're out in the yard. Does anyone have a workaround for this seemingly typical scenario?

Other than that, i was really impressed with how solid the camera is. The field of view is great. The motion detection for actual human movement vs. cars driving by works perfectly too.

How's your battery life? The other person who posted had the solar panel with it so not a good judge of actual battery life without it.

Also, most of the time, people would want alerts even when they're home. Just because you're home doesn't mean someone can't hop into your backyard and steal a bunch of stuff without you knowing. I get it's not for you, but I'm guessing the feature was never added cause a lot more ppl aren't asking for it.
