I wonder if word of mouth killed it? Genuinely surprised.

That's what happened. Obviously someone got their console exchanged then it got abused. As you can imagine there were a lot of people lying about their console's purchase date. It's just too much of a headache. No one does what Nintendo does. That was far too generous to offer an upgrade. No other business would do that.

Was the original claim for people who bought it July 17 onward could
"Switch" it out for the new one or people we're getting new ones from Bought back at launch?

Haven't followed this fiasco closely / at all

$225 GameStop trade in is nice. Don't wanna give up any of
My joy con color variants tho to trade in, or play screen lottery. I think I'm gonna stay put

Don't even play it as much as 3ds or vita these days or my home consoles

What is the new switch?
Nintendo came out with a new Switch that has a more efficient processor. So battery life is nearly doubled on it. Everything else is reportedly the same.

seriously Nintendo should just exchange all of the ones that had the Tegra hack. If people want to come clean from hacking and use a faster CPU.

Which is funny since people will always find an exploit even on the new versions. Companies have tried this in the past with other consoles.

It's not faster. Only difference is battery life. Given I only play 1-2 hours in a single session, it's not really an upgrade.

Okay, so how much of a donation to your feed me charity would you think might convince you to freely give the old one away? PM me with your thoughts on this....

Thanks. The battery life improvement is impressive, but not worth losing homebrew over.
