What's the difference between the "Spyderco Resilience Peg" and the regular Spyderco Resilience? Packaging? Maybe one comes with a box and the other is in a blister pack? I couldn't find any info online, but BS shows the "Peg" has an MSRP of $50 and the regular one has an MSRP of $80, however both are clearanced for $25.

Regular model

Got one, thanks OP! Spyderco does wonderful things with 8Cr13MoV stainless steel in their budget/Byrd line of knives. I think their heat treatment is a step above what Kershaw does, which is already pretty good. I've got the Byrd Cara Cara 2 and the Spyderco Tenacious already and love them. The Resilience is huge at 4.25", but I like a little bit bigger knife.

My Walmart also had the SOG Aegis FL folder clearanced for $9 and the OKC fixed blade Survival Knife [walmart.com] on clearance for $19. Grabbed the SOG, but left the OKC for someone else. This knife thing is an addiction.

Nice find. Picked one up at a local store last night. Found another store with the SOG and will try to head there tomorrow. Thanks Paladin3.

How confident can you throw this without it breaking? I mean.. I know they make knives specifically for throwing but, I threw a cheap pocket knife from budk before and it broke. Lol wondering if there's a difference in construction between semi expensive knives and a random cheapo ones, or is it the blade that makes it expensive?
They are built better, but aren't built to be thrown.
