It's about 3.2Q. Seems small for a family of 4-5 people.
This is good for a single person or a couple with no kids. Otherwise you have to airfry constantly to make a portion for 4-5.

Yes they're more broilers with a circulating fan. A convection oven heats from the bottom up and around the sides, whereas these air fryers heat from the top down and the sides allowing moisture to dissipate quicker resulting in less soggy food.

Bought 1 yesterday. Had a strong plastic smell for little over 1 hour on max heat. Seems to be pretty much gone now. Frozen fries turned out great. All Iv made so far with it. Its a great price.

Bought one last month. This is really good for family of 2-3. Fries and roasted vegetables came really nice. Try roaster Brussel sprouts.

Based on the images of the dials, would I be correct in saying that this could be used with a smart switch to turn on and off?

If I have a convection oven would I benefit from one of these? Any sort of difference?

Reason I ask is because I've read people say they are similar to convection ovens, but don't know if I'm convinced.

Anyone with both want to shed some light?

It has knobs for the temp and timer instead of buttons and a digital display.

Got this on a previous sale. No complaints. Used it probably 50 times, easily. The clincher for me on the purchase, was digital control/touchscreen panel. Seems like timer dials could wear down.

I did get the Oster Best Buy deal recently and shelved this for backup. The Oster is fantastic.

The analog one has to be hit from the back. I assume.
