Update: M4 DEAL IS SOLD OUT but promo still good on other Taylormade clubs through 8/21

Globalgolf.com has 20% off Taylormade preowned clubs (Code: TAYLORMADE) plus free shipping (Code: FREESHIP199) until 8/21 (promo details say expires 8/18, but still working).

Among other items, this reduces M4 iron set (4-PW, AW) to $351.99 ($439.99 -$88 - $4.99). Similar clubs on 2ndswing.com are $599.

This is my first deal post so feedback is appreciated.

height was definitely a factor. but so was the offset angle/degree. mine is two degrees upright. depends on where you're making contact at the ground and the angle it which it is hitting. my clubs are also 1/2 inch longer due to height. some manufacturers (mizuno) will let you put any shaft and grip with their irons, too
I just got fitted as well. Thought I wanted graphite shafts, but steel turned out to be a much better choice for me and my swing speed. Also had a significant lie angle adjustment. Definitely agree that getting fitted it well worth the time and expense.

Gone again.

M2's (although that seems like such a crappy deal now haha) are also $279.99 for value condition.

I am a complete newbie at golfing looking to buy and I can't even figure out looking at this listing...how do you know how many clubs are included in this set? Do people just buy the drivers separate then?

This is 8 pcs irons set.

Yes, you still need driver/3/5 wood and or hybrid.

Though driver can wait as you get more into the sport. Driver is usually most challenging club to hit.

Unless you only want TM, Callaway CPO has great deals too.

If you're just starting, I would highly recommend buying a used set off of craigslist or fb marketplace. Buying a $100 set or a $1000 set will literally make no difference in your golf game.

That being said, a standard set has: driver, 3 wood, irons (4 thru pitching), 1-3 wedges, putter. Hybrids have been especially popular lately where they replace the 3 and 4 irons because 3-4 irons are usually very hard to hit.

Me personally, I have Dr, 3w, 3h, 4h, 6-P irons, and 52*/56*/60* wedges, putter.

Your bag is same as mine. However i just went ahead and ordered the m4 8 piece iron set. Now I have to rethink my bag.

Just an FYI for those who missed the original deal; 20% off and free shipping still happens on the site. I found a very good set for $379.99 before discounts. After discounts and tax I paid $332 shipped for 5-AW. Great deal IMO and the clubs are 8.5/10 condition for sure. Well worth it; can't wait to take them for a round tomorrow AM.
