LucidSound - LS35X Wireless Surround Sound Over-the-Ear Gaming Headset for Xbox One, Windows 10 PCs and Select Mobile Devices $115.50!!! Amazon

Cheapest it's EVER Been at Amazon! Best Buy Price matched me after Amazon said I had to return them anyway to get the price (I bought them last week for more at AMAZON. At least I get points with BB and easier to return)...So far I like them a lot! Too bad Amazon it getting their pair back for making it a hassle.laugh out loud

These are designed to use "Microsoft Sonic" wireless tech so they just pair like a controller. Easy Peasy.

DO NOT FORGET TO UPDATE THE SOFTWARE! This is Important! They will be crap if you don't.

The reviews on these should make one hesitate. Build quality issues, and sound dropping out (something I have found to be true on almost all headsets using Xbox wireless). Price is good, but I personally feel like you would be throwing $115 bucks out the window in the end.

OP, the wireless tech they use to pair to the Xbox is Xbox Wireless, which is a proprietary wireless format. Windows Sonic is a virtual surround sound, similar to Dolby Atmos for headphones. This headset uses Xbox Wireless, and can also use either Windows Sonic (free) or Dolby Atmos (~$15).

I will thumb up on price, but buyer beware...

I have Lucid that works with PS4 full wireless and Xbox and they are great at price point. Bought them at Costco. Never had better headphones. Great sounds, clear chat, very easy controls! You need to try the controls to understand what I am talking about. They are very comfortable and not heavy. Earpads are replaceable and not expensive. No FW issues at all, just need to not forget to change them

LS31 or LS41 can do all that, but you will need a chat cable for Xbox. Otherwise this headset will need the Xbox Wireless adapter for windows.

Got a RIGS 800LX headset and it can work with Xbox One, PS4, and PC with one (included) USB adapter. Does not have a 3.5mm jack if you need that, but its completely wireless and works seemlessly on each device, just plug and play. Also it comes with Dolby Atmos for Windows/Xbox.

Just gotta say I've owned a Lucidsound LS31 for a about 6 months and they're awesome.

It's the same as the LS35x but doesn't use the built-in xbox wireless protocol, so it comes with a dongle.
If you ONLY care about Xbox, this is the only set they make that won't require you to plug into the controller for chat but if you want a cross-platform set, like I did, then the 31s or 41s are probably better.

The 35x also come with the cooling gel memory foam ear cups which are VERY NICE. I ordered them separately for my 31s and I can wear them for hours even on warmer summer days.

I've used them on every platform (Xbox, PS4, Switch and PC) both wireless and wired as well as just for music and movies on my phone and they are just superb sounding.

I think they're the best sounding set I found in the $100-$200 price range with good punch in the low end and they are super comfortable to wear. I tried other sets from Sony, Arctis and HyperX and these had the best mix of volume, mic clarity, comfort and usability. The dials on either ear cup to control chat and game/music volume individually make me wonder why every headset hasn't used this design.

I also take them with me on airplanes and even though they aren't technically "noise-cancelling", they do an amazing job and blocking out the engine roar and other general noise.

I was in the exact same boat as you but nothing on the market will seamlessly go TOTALLY wireless between all the platforms if you want to get game audio and chat. It's a licensing thing. No headset can have BOTH Xbox and PS4 wireless chat protocols built in.
You'll always have to use the cable to the gamepad for chat on either the xbox/pc or the ps4 depending on which set you go with.

BUT if you don't need to chat and just want game audio, the LS31/40/41 will work great without the chat cable between platforms.

They have the new LS50s coming sometime this year that will have bluetooth and the wireless dongle for gaming but they'll be at least $200 and no exact ETA on release. They'll also have the same issue of needing a chat cable on one of the platforms.

Turtle Beach has the i60 which features the same and have been around for a few years but reviews are iffy

If you look at the bad reviews they are mostly from people who didn't update the firmware. Since I knew in advance of this I updated it right away and had zero issues the week I owned them (I only returned them for this price).

That's interesting about the cross platform not having an easy sync headset for all formats.
I guess I was ignorant to think I was the only one with this utopic thought!

Since I have the Sony Golds and wear my sony MDX's for my PC and my iphone I really only needed an easy XBOX sync.
I guess I could of bought one really good pair and played around with dongles but I went the other way. It's messy and annoying. My wife thinks I have a headphone $ headset problem, but it is what it is.

You and I. Best headsets ever with Dolby Atmos code included.

Can I ask you, do people complain about your mic being very low? I talk in a low voice and that could be it, but wanted a second opinion.

A friend of mine had these and they had a lot of issues with the headset losing signal to the console. He returned them after 2 weeks. May not be a bad headset but I've seen quite a few threads on Reddit with issues.

I have had my LS35X headset for about a month and it's been great! Got mine from Costco for $150, so this is a really great deal.

Note that if you have a 5GHz wireless network, you may get static in your headset because Xbox uses 5GHz to communicate with controllers and this headset. I had to find the right channel in my WiFi settings that wouldn't conflict. For me it was channel 40.

So, as others said, update the firmware and find WiFi channel that doesn't conflict with the headset. The WiFi issue will affect any headset that has built in Xbox wireless, like the Arctic 9x.

Costco has these on sale all the time for same price if i'm not mistaken.. hell paying the extra 40 right now at costco is worth the lifetime warranty.

Issue i had with them was when i mute the mic, then all of a sudden signal would refresh it would unmute my mic.. makes some awkward issues if your talking to your significant other when the mic is "off" or if you have it sitting on the couch "off" and family comes over and is loud and it refreshes so its blasting everyone in their ears.. happens way more then i would like.

Not sure if the new updates helped prevent that but when i used them it would Refresh signal way more often then i would like. I use the Stealth 700s right now havent had any issues. i've also used the Astro A50s and those are quite nice as well but pricey.

*edit* I missed that you said phone use too. These can't use bluetooth*

These are still available from an earlier SD post on Ebay for $50.

Plantronics Rig 800 LX SE headset. As others have mentioned it is completely wireless and you can use it on the xbox, pc, and ps4. These are refurbished but mine came and it looked brand new. It doesn't come with the Dolby Atmos code but you can use the windows sonic feature instead just like these others. And at $50 even though it's a refurb that is one of the best deals for headsets right now.
