These have been completely discontinued by Scotts as of 2019. After contacting Scotts as instructed by the Scotts My Lawn app, they sent me a $30 check to help me replace my Snap Spreader with a new Scotts Spreader. The only requirement was a portion of the cable guard be sent in with my information as proof of purchase, which renders the Snap Spreader inoperative. My new Scotts Spreader works great!

These spreaders are horrible...will not spread evenly. Not worth it at any price IMO

I bought one a few years ago on a SlickDeal and used it a few times. It's probably worth the price. I used the bag it came with and cut the top open to "refill" it. I've been using one of the Wizz handheld spreaders since I have a smaller yard however so a few weeks ago I put the Snap out in the alley for someone to take.

Like someone said previously just reuse one of the empty bags by cutting off the top and then refill with whatever similar is/was sold in them

I did a search for the bags on Lowe's. They have several options for regular price, around $20. That's what I didn't like about this spreader...the bags were so much more expensive. I'm happy with my $30 refund.

Happy to see a proprietary product fail. Hope Scott's learned their lesson.

These spreaders always reminded me of this juicer [thenextweb.com]...
