Probably because the part number above is for a 17 inch laptop and the link takes you to a 15 inch laptop.

Also the recent Dell deal had similar specs for ~$550...

It's not a Max-Q one either. The 17" one is but the 15" one is not. At least based on the specs posted online...

The only one weakness of this system is the monitor. I think it is a very normal IPS to make the price lower.

Notebookcheck reviews noted that even though they aren't listed as maxq, they are.

I c. Seems it need Dell EPP, plus the difference of i5 Vs i7. And the USB port of the Dell system seems quite out of date.

No way that the same exact specs could be had for 550. You must be missing some specs or have it wrong on your end

Pretty crazy that this thing comes with a total of only 256GB of storage stock. I know its kind of implied that you would be adding your own 2nd drive but yikes for the poor individual who buys this and wouldn't know how.

I'm not going back through 350 comments but there was a reason it went frontpage...

Here's just one example I found quickly...

Laptop $784.78
10% discount for signing up for email - $78.48
$706.30 + $44.14 taxes = $750.44

Tax Free Weekend Credited Back - 44.14
Topcash 4% back- $28.25
Discover 5% Cash Back - 35.31
Visa Gift Card - $150

Net total should be $492.74. And I haven't included the 3% Dell Rewards becasue I'm not sure I can use it for anything that I need.
