Just bought a 7' combo. Both 6'6" and 7' one piece models are 49.99. The two piece 6'6" is 60.00. There is free one day shipping and also two day shipping. Seems like a great deal compared to other competitors. Read some reviews and watched youtube videos on this combo and seems like a great baitcast for beginners and novice fisherman like myself.

Amazon has the 7' combo for the same price. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/Abu-Garcia...B011LV6SUW

Abu Garcia Black Max Low Profile Baitcast Combo:
4 stainless steel ball bearings + 1 roller bearing provides smooth operation
Machined aluminum spool provides strength without adding excess weight

Compact bent handle and star provide a more ergonomic design
Recessed reel foot allows for a more ergonomic reel design
One piece graphite frame
Graphite sideplates
24 Ton graphite construction for a lightweight and balanced design, High density EVA handles are more durable and comfortable

These are good set ups. I just ordered the 7 ft from amazon yesterday for my 13 year old son. ($49)
These will drop to around $35 during the year.

I was going to buy it on Amazon but decided not to just in case I needed to return. It'll be less of a hassle since there is a Walmart a few minutes away.

Returning stuff to Amazon is way easier than returning to Walmart. Keep the package and if it doesn't work out Amazon will email a barcode, put it back in the package and drop off at any UPS store.

Amazon only offers 30 day returns Walmart offers 90. Amazon requires you to pay return shipping on purchases that you may have just changed your mind on, Walmart offers the same 90 day return window and items can be returned to store.

I'd rather deal with Walmart. The times I've returned items it's been no questions asked and my money back. I also won't have to worry about the package being lost or damaged. The store is down the street and less of a hassle doing the waiting game. Thanks for the info.

Do _NOT_ buy from Amazon. They ship rods like it's their job to break them. Trust me. I can provide plenty of pictures if required.

Amazon has the unique ability to turn a 1 piece rod into a 4 piece rod.

Right hand retrieve is standard for a baitcaster. However these combos are often on sale for $35-40 if don't mind waiting

I didn't know we had to bring pettiness into the equation, that always changes the calculations for some.

It's helps when people aren't morons, Common sense is always a factor when calculating overhead cost.

Want to get this for my father-in-law....what is the difference between the 3? I saw a comment about one of them being 2 pieces To fit into a car, he has a boat but doesn't always take it. I would like to see what you all recommend, Im sure each individual has their own opinion and what works for them so this is just a general gift item that he can return, if needed. please......thank you!

1. Father-in-law and his 60s
2. Avid fisherman in fresh and saltwater
3. Takes his smaller boat for fresh water fishing early in the AM.
4. I've heard him mention trout, bass, (when he took our son fresh water fishing in their TN area home)
5. Gulf Coast Central Florida is his 2nd fishing area.
6. Takes grand-kiddos ages 8-17

Hope this is enough info.......Thank you all!!!
