GoPro is the clear loser with their broken software.

Great price. I bought the Rylo last month and it's a lot of fun. Any gopro selfie stick will work - and I recommend using one otherwise you are really close to the camera. The charger is nice to have, you'll want to swap batteries if you are out for a full day.

Based on reviews I watched I think the Insta might be better... but not sure it's $100-$200 better.

Gopro fusion has it's place but from what I've seen you need a high end PC to really work with the raw footage; otherwise you have to use a phone app to "point" the view where you want, and then you end up with "standard" action cam footage.

Rylo connects via cable to my iPhone or iPad and is easy and fun to work with. The stitching is not quite 100% but in most settings it's not noticeable. One fun thing was bike riding in the woods and passing a deer on the side, and being able to have the camera "track" the deer as I passed it. Also used it at a local renaissance fair it worked well in that setting too. I'm looking forward to taking it with on the slopes this winter; and using it for taping family holiday gatherings.

Based on the discounting I've seen on Prime Day (I bought from best buy on prime day), and now this, I'm a little concerned about their viability going forward. I'm sure if you don't jump on this deal it will come up again.

Are there any better options for these out there to know about?

Been thinking about getting one.

ATBH, would love a way to have one also to quick dock in a car that has auto rec when powered on and a looping overwrite function as well as a quick save POI button that saves before and after blocks of video.

I doubt it exists, but that seems like a product I would like to have.

I just compared the same three and I ended up going with the GoPro, but I'm not convinced that I made the right decision. The key factor was waterproofness - neither the Rylo nor the Insta One 360 X are waterproof without a case, and the GoPro was. That said, Fusion Studio is a real pain to use, and be prepared to sit and wait forever since it doesn't seem to use the GPU at all to accelerate stitching on a Mac (I hear that it might on a PC, but I don't know).

I'm kind of tempted to get this anyway and try it out to compare against the GoPro, tbh. Sorry it's not definitive, but after playing around with this and a couple of the other options at work, I get the sense we're still waiting for a device that's good all around. One is good at video, another at photos, another at stitching, another in software ...

Great camera! Also purchased at this price from Best Buy (on Prime Day), which included the Adventure Case. No regrets, especially fun for MTB video.

Didn't really need another camera since I have the Hero 7 Black, but everyone says it's so fun to use and the software is a joy... I'll give it a shot.

I am a little concerned the company will with fold or bring out V2 in the coming months, but for $300 all in, I can take that gamble. Thanks OP.

Edit: Also, don't rest the Rylo down on the lens. I've read the glass is very subject to scratching and costs $150ish to get fixed.

I have the Rylo. Both the mobile app and the MacOS desktop app are very easy to use. I found Rylo's stabilization to be better than Insta.
