Bought a "certified refurbished" deebot from this seller 2 weeks ago but it was certified garbage. Physically it looked like it had been dragged behind a car for miles. The battery only last 15-20 min. Rated for 120. Tried to contact the seller but got no response. Avoid!

Thanks OP.

My parents saw my Roborock (more than they want to spend) and decided they need one of these smart vacs. Reading the reviews, people seem quite happy with this other than connect-ability issues, which seems to be mostly because people don't realize that this will only connect on 2.4ghz, so hopefully that's a non-issue. Would love to here if anyone has any 1st hand experience with this.

I'm okay with a refurb, as I've bought some Hue stuff from the same seller and all was good.

TIA

Awesome. Thanks OP. Been waiting for a smart vac to go on sale after missing out on the s5 around prime day.

This looks to have all the features I need, including the ability to map the floor and create unlimited virtual walls for no go zones.

Unfortunately vacuum wars never reviewed it on YouTube, but I found this video that shows it's capabilities if anyone is on the fence:

I couldnt find any details on the warranty period for this on the ebay listing... That should be a major consideration for any robot vac purchase. In the 2 1/2 years we've owned Robo vacs, weve gone through 6! 4 Roombas, 2 Deebots... Theres a reason this ebay seller has enough refurb unit to resell, they are returned frequently.. Just my honest opinion, I would always purchase from a reputable seller with a rock solid return policy, like Costco. You'll pay more, but you wont be out your money in 1yr.

Obviously with something like this an extended warranty purchase is needed

Care to share a link? Price per yr would be helpful.

I bought a Squaretrade one for my Neato Botvac similar to this one, can't find the floor care plan one:

https://www.amazon.com/SquareTrade-Portable-Electronics-Accident-Protection/dp/B008I65LIE/ref=sr_1_f... [amazon.com]

This one is $11 for 2 years but I think you have to buy it off Amazon:

Yup, both links are only valid for new Amazon purchases: "SquareTrade Protection Plans are only valid for new products purchased at Amazon within the last 30 days."

This is probably more in line with what you're looking for: https://pages.ebay.com/buyerprote...trade.html

Not sure if it'll work on this vac, but says it's valid for refurbished items too

Update: I don't think it's available for this purchase. As per that page: "How do I purchase a SquareTrade warranty?

If the item you are purchasing qualifies for SquareTrade Warranty, you have the option to purchase it directly from the item description page prior to checkout. After checkout, you can still purchase it from the payment confirmation page or through your post-purchase reminder email."

I don't see it on my payment confirmation page or in the follow up email.

https://upsie.com/small-appliance-warranty

I put in a Ecovacs for Brand, and I see 2 yr is $17 and 3 yr is $30 for a $150-$200 appliance.

Seems like a must.

A robot vacuum cleaner is the only thing I've ever bought a warranty for, I run mine nightly and it covers 2000 sq ft so the motors and sensors are getting a ton of usage. My neato botvac died 5 times over 2 years. YMMV

EDIT: Oops! I just saw they said they dont cover refurb products, only new ones, sorry

Unfortunately that looks like it's only for new products as well:

"CAN I BUY A WARRANTY ON A USED/REFURBISHED APPLIANCE?

No, currently we only cover appliances that are brand new."

Thanks though

They have these refurb on amazon as well with the warranty (different model). I have the R95 and I freaking love it. It runs all over the romba 69X we had.
