Feel like theres alot better models than this one available with $100 off & $70+ in points today

Many with same i5 some with i7, 8-16gb ram, and 256-512 ssd - from $500-$600's, touch, etc

S340 and flex c340 models

Like this $530 + $75 back in points:
Core i7 and 512 ssd

For the i7 model, you're paying $120 extra. Performance difference is not that big over this i5 and by paying $50 it less you can get a 512GB 2.5" SSD to add in this model, replacing the hard drive.
However, the Flex 14 deal is great and if you are willing to pay that extra 90 bucks, go for it

If you have a $400 budget, it's hard to beat these specs for this price.

You are paying a little premium to have two HD in a 14" frame with 1080P over a 15.6", this is a good deal for those requirements

TN display and 1TB HDD. Would rather have a 256 SSD and IPS.

Yes, that is correct. And it is extremely easy to replace the SSD; by just opening the back cover. The current SSD is in 2242 Form Factor but it can take full 2280 M.2 SSD. Ifyou don't want to format and reinstall OS, then you need to clone the OS partition to the new SSD first. Otherwise, just doa fresh installation of Windows in the new SSD and the Windows will activate automatically from the key stored in the BIOS.

This.

Here in the People's Republic of Massachusetts we pay 6.25% sales tax. About a half hour ride from my keyboard the Free People of New Hampshire pay 0% sales tax.

If the OS if currently on it's own SSD and the 1tb HDD is replaced with an SSD is there any reason to reinstall the OS?
