Hi Munkynutss

I see it in the description.

Do you think the code should also be in the title?

Is 4K PoE security cams worth it when it's low fps? Just curious, as I'm looking at this vs. Ubiquiti G3 cameras.

Hi chasewfahn,

Depends on what you want to use it for...

action videos? youtube videos? if you need 30 fps then you'll need to look for a model which has more processing power ( i.e. expect to spend a bit more $ )

If you're just looking to use this as a security camera, it should work well enough for most situations with good light where you are looking to get a good potential ID shot.

There are newer models out which can do 30 fps and have a larger sensor, i don't think Amcrest carries those right now.

Hi Flyboyz...

The description on Amazon states:

SMARTER SECURITY – Receive motion alert notifications and review footage via your smartphone with the Amcrest View app. Playback and record professionally on a PC using the Amcrest Surveillance Pro for Windows and MAC (included) or Blue Iris Professional. Works with Amcrest Cloud remote video storage, MicroSd card, Amcrest NVRs, Synology and QNAP NAS, FTP, Pale Moon and Sea Monkey Browsers, IE, Safari, Firefox 49.0 and Chrome with Amcrest Web View Extension.

personally I would not add more load to a router, instead I would look to setup a PC I already have running the Dahua OEM smartPSS software if I was looking for a cheaper setup.

HI slickwav

The 4mm and 2.8mm seem to be basically the same except the lens iirc ( Dahua OEM, was unable to find an exact match last time to a Dahua OEM model, but looked similar to some of the IPC_HFWx8xx line up )

Do double check and compare the spec sheets on the 4mm vs the 2.8mm
