wow, that is a nice monitor, can't justify spending that much money on it though.

IPS, 144hz, 27",2K
it's perfect in my book Frown

Unfortunately it does not appear to support FreeSync 2 and sounds like HDR is almost non-existent https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuzO9xK04Jk

Real HDR at this price point is a pipe dream.

Lol I was thinking, why is this so expensive compared to the $350 one I bought that has gsync and same size.

Then I saw your IPS comment and it all made sense ha. I miss my IPS 1080 monitor, had such crisp color from a wide angle.

what does this normally retail at? I think I'd be fine dropping $300 on this in a sale some time in a year hopefully...

EDIT: nvm, I see it's $500 at bestbuy. Hoping that next year I could grab for $350... or competitors can come out that are close

Sorry the LG is both gsync and freesync. I'm using it right now on freesync. I preordered it on BBY and love it.

How is this a deal? Its freesync which something like this is typically much cheaper. Aorus hasn't really been on the map either in terms of great monitors, not saying that this isnt great but it's not a Predator or Asus ROG

Is it this expensive because of the IPS and the 1ms time? I had to make sure this thread wasn't 2 years old when I saw the price.

If you can find a monitor 2 years ago for about 500 that is 1440p 144hz 1MS then you should of bought it cause you needed a time machine to go back to the future.

Look at the title of this thread. No where does it say 1ms. It could have been any generic 1440p 144hz monitor.

That's why I said I thought for a split second that it was an old thread.

Acer xb271hu has been 500ish for the past 2 years. What's special about this one is the 1ms response time vs actual gsync chip in Acer.

What makes it far superior? The reviews I've looked at say they're pretty close to each other.
