The most important question (to me) no one is asking. How many pounds can it hold without flinching? Especially with the camera body off to the size at 90 degree (portrait vs landscape). I shoot with some large lenses sometime and the damn tripod mounts always sag.

i'm guessing that most people who shoot something like you're describing already know enough to not have to ask...

You already answered your own question. My position for tripods is never to put anywhere near close to maximum advertised weight it can handle. If this one says it can do 8.8 lbs I would not put over 6 lbs on it.

This is a good deal for a lightweight travel tripod. The price of the ball head alone is $45-60.

This tripod isn't good enough.

You must use a RRS or Special Edition Gitzo or your pictures will suck.

I was going to get 2, but no HDMI kills the deal... ;-)

I've received mine, and find the ball head to be useless. In order to pan, you have to loosen the head enough that the ball becomes loose and the camera falls (using olympus m5 mirrorless). Anyone else have this problem?
