Just keep in mind that baggage fees and extra peels will drive the price up. Plus the dates are during the colder, rainy months. So there is that to consider as well.

If you qualify you can get the Delta Amex Skymiles card which gives you one free checked-in bag per segment, which more than covers the annual fee if you fly often enough with enough luggage. But, if you can at all help it, pack just the essentials and go with only a carry-on. It's so much easier (and cheaper and faster). They have laundromats and full service cleaners outside the US so you can get by with just a week's worth of clothes--even less, really.

OTOH, you avoid the crowds, lines and sweltering heat of peak season, and Paris is really nice during the holidays. And cheaper.

I understand that and people will take advantage of the deal regardless, but just saying that there is good and bad.

Not sure, but my Delta Amex only gives you a free checked bag on domestic not international flights.

But that's true of all times of year. I've been in Paris in August. HUGE mistake. Extremely hot and humid, massive crowds, long lines, and half the country was closed. I'd say that May and September are nicest, with April and October not too bad. And they really tinsel things up for XMas.

I recently flew Delta internationally and my one checked bag was free both ways. It's almost always free if you're a member.

Don't most airlines offer 1 free checked bag on all international flight ✈️?

Is Paris safe now? I ask this legitimately non politically. On one sided take there are knife wielding jihadists waiting at the airport and on the other side there's not a single problem there as I see videos of police cars on fire. Where is it actually?

I go to Paris once a year or once every other year, primarily for the French open. I still have no problems walking around at any hour but it's not the same as it was a decade ago. Doesn't feel as clean and safe but normal traveler awareness and I'm good to go.

What days are you looking for? I see plenty of nyc-Paris for under $290 from November - April with Delta.

I think the dates are wrong, it says the following dates:
March 1, 5, 9, 12, 23, 26

with a 7 day return

I go to skyscanner and select mar 12 to 19, it only gives me rates of 500+ ??? i dont know why it's not working.

================

update , looks like they fixed it.
