At this point shouldn't something like this be more like $50?

Why? Please explain. Keep in mind this is a 4k UHD blu ray player... not just a basic blu ray player. This sells for $300 new.

Ok, I didn't think LG was on the level with Oppo. I'll take another look. TU.

I am looking for a 4K blu ray to pair with my Samsung 4K TV, looks like this isn't a good fit because it doesn't have HDR10 or HDR10+. Any idea what brand/model would be a good one for my case? I don't need wifi connectivity in blu ray player.

It does HDR10, not HDR 10+. Since Samsung is being petty like Tom Petty about Dolby Vision, I would pair a Samsung player with a Samsung TV.

It's not on the level of an Oppo. Not nearly as expensive either. Very few players were on the level of Oppo, but not many people were interested in that quality, which is why Oppo does not make players anymore.

I bought this last time from woot, shipped super slow and didn't even come in a box, they literally slapped the sticker on the retail box. Set it up, the disc tray got stuck, wiggled it, disc tray came out, put the disc in and it ate my disc... not the highest quality player to start with, mostly plastic

basic blu ray player prices were dropping for a while, but now I hardly see a sub 50 deal.

Within the 30 day window my player started freezing and displaying artifacts that smeared the images across the screen in certain scenes... Just processed a return - thankfully Amazon is willing to pay for return shipping and a full refund

great - my luck.... I'm the OP. The player that was delivered doesn't work, and Woot says they have no more to send. LG wont replace since they didn't refurbish and doesn't have LG serial number...

That sucks, got mine this past Sat. tested wifi works, 3d, blu-ray & 4K blu-ray plays. Need to play more discs to make sure it doesn't crap out on me before return window closes.
