Worst furniture buying experience we have ever had. After months of not getting the furniture that you pay up front for we had to physically go to the store and demand a refund which took forever. I have never been so mad and had to yell at several people on the phone during the course of the weeks of arguing just to get our money back. Never again.
Same experience. Worst place to deal with.

Do not order from Ashley's. My couch took 3 weeks to deliver and once arrived was damaged. Took another 2 weeks to get the replacement and that one was damaged also. I said forget it and got my money back. Went to living spaces that weekend and ordered a couch, it came that same night. Living spaces has way better customer service.

Ashely ones are overpriced and even when you negotiate you can't beet the bobs furniture price. I bought bunch of stuff. Remember most of them are mdf or vineer simply fake wood. I bought a mahogani bed and a leather couch and mango wood dining table other stuff are crap mdfs. Think what u want to last. Coffee table no it is gonna ruin quickly dresser nope, corner tables nope so buy the wood stuff that you think them to last long. Bobs stuff are not like jordans furniture. But good stuff. Exactly same mango dining table almost 700 higher at ashely even with discounts.

I actually didn't think the prices on the couches were that bad. I bought a sectional in store. Didn't negotiate it down, but it was $150 off what this "sale" is quoting on the site. It seemed like a quality sectional, comparable to $800-1000+ that Costco and bobs sells, and I got it for $650. That seems like the cheapest you can get a decent sized sectional elsewhere online

I'm not sure at all about the wood furniture and stuff. Maybe that's what all these complaints are about... I do need a coffee table but I'm just gonna get a cheap set from Walmart for $40, unless anyone has any other recommendations

Ashley sell their furniture to other stores, a few years ago I wanted an outdoor sectional and table. From Ashley is worked out around $2,200.

I put the model number into google and found a warehouse out of ny selling the same thing for $1,200.

I've did the same my living room furniture. The only problem was one of the sofas ended up taking 2 months to arrive. I wasn't in a rush so it didn't bother me. Something to think about though if you need it right away.

There are many options to buy Ashley furniture. I was looking at a couple leather recliners and a sofa locally. The I did a search for the items and found I could order the same products online for 50% less also check Amazon they have a broad offering.

I feel like with Ashley you get what you pay for. You should know going into it that it's not 10/10 quality... but I feel like it's 7 or 8/10 quality and if you don't abuse it, it's good stuff.

Right now they have 25% off plus another 20% if you don't finance. Snagged a new loveseat/oversized chair for a good price.

Some tips and tricks with Ashley.

1. 30% off is really not a sale. The store associates knock off 30% off every day. If you see an extra coupon that's online, just walk into a store, ask for an associate and tell them you see better price online. They will price match.
2. VIP sales. This is where the money saving happens. They have this sale every 2 months or so. The savings are more than 30%, usually 35-40%. But the trick is stores don't know what percentage is the discount, until the day before. So walk into Ashley and ask for next VIP sale. If you can wait, then wait for it. I bought it for VIP sale and got it for 45% off.
3. Shipping-because this is mostly freight shipping, they may charge insane shipping prices. If you have a warehouse nearby, talk to the store associate and have them do pickup at warehouse option. Of course, if the furniture is heavy, you would want to pay for shipping.

Bottom line: store purchase is always better for Ashley.

So you are broadly generalizing Ashley based on your one experience with your local store? Seems fair.

I can't recommend Ashley furniture to anyone. Terrible quality furniture and they push fraudulent 'warranties'.

If you have some reputable local furniture stores, most them will have exact same designs or very similar ones as Ashley's, but done by other OEM (some times better), normally at half of the price.
Can you give examples of such stores?

Key Home Furnishings in Portland, OR carried the same Ashley sofa and loveseat set I was looking at at the Salem, OR Ashley store. The Ashley store matched the price from Key Home Furnishings, saving me about $350 from the lowest Ashley "sale" price. So whatever the advertised sale price, you can often get it for less if your local store price matches. Also, in the PNW, Stanton Furniture makes very similar designs as Ashley, and they have a good reputation overall. Local independent stores around here (Woodry's, e.g.,) usually carry Stanton with or instead of Ashley pieces..
