E-die is superior. I have a kit identical to this one (it's D-die) and I'm able to get it to 3400C16 with loose timings, but an E-die kit in the same system (using an ASRock board that only lets you push 1.4v to the DIMM slots) easily hits 3600C16.

Look for "AES" in the product code to find E-die. Newegg has a kit for $70 right now, binned to 3200.

If you're not going to go to the trouble of overclocking, though ... this kit will hit the rated speed without any extra work (just load the XMP).

Might be an odd question, but does anyone know where I can get cheap DDR3 ram? I've been using 8gb for the past 9 years and it's just not cutting it anymore...

Crucial has been great about honoring their warranty to me. I've had to replace three bad sticks over the years, and each time I talked to someone in Idaho who took care of it.

I had to wait a few days, and pay up front, but they reimbursed on receipt each time when they got the bad RAM.

I'm sure there are some customer service horror stories - there always are - but I prefer Crucial due to their strong support.

Did they require the purchase receipt?

Sure. Why not? You could swap out the DDR4 2666 for 16gb of DDR4 3000 or (depending on your current RAM 2666 timings) add to it and have 24gb of 2666 RAM.
