Home Depot [homedepot.com] also has the same model for $1029 shipped for those who don't have a Costco membership.

My local Costco store has it in stock.

Have been reading and watching videos about QJ for a while, but still a little bit leery about how safe and easy to use this type of product.

Mine has it in stock as well. Since they are normally $999 in store I wonder if they are discounted further at in stock locations. I just purchased the 7000SLX for $1155 during the home depot deal and if they are below $999 in store I might regret it a bit.

Scissor lifts give me the creeps. I realize that any type of lift failing is bad but the thought of a leg or arm stuck in one of these ...

I've seen one fail in a shop I worked in when the hydraulic line was damaged. No safety let cks on it as it was old but fortunately it was just for tire wheel swaps and not under vehicle work.

Im regretting not buying the 7000 from HD. Found someone to split the cost with since we both work on our vehicles, but I have a 1/2 ton pickup so I wanted the larger capacity model.

Call quickjack directly. I ordered from them after home Depot sold out.

Did they match the price? Really nice of them if they did!

Yes they did. Credit goes to whomever posted that they were matching the price in that deal thread. I took their advice and mine is being delivered this Tuesday.

Awesome, hopefully they still honor that. Will give them a call tomorrow (or Monday if they are closed tomorrow).

Thanks for the tip that I must have missed!

Quickjack is not a scissor lift, it is hydraulic. It lifts up to two possible positions and locks on the frame, with the added bonus of having a more stable base. I'd say these are safer on average than jack stands, but not quite a 2 post lift.

I'm holding out for a deal on a 1-post lift on wheels. Been dreaming of having one for years. 1K towards something I cannot sit underneath -- no thank you.
