So this is running a modified ADNS-9800? Im not super familiar with that sensor of theirs but it is not listed as flawless. You would be better off with the Rii M01 that runs a Pixart PMW3360 or something with the 3310

you can even get a SteelSeries Rival 110 used that has the truemove1 for 17

How big is this mouse? Is it on the small side, or is it pretty normal sized?

Hmm... It may be that it just shuts off when the computer is asleep, which a mouse I have does.

In the description is says "based on the 9800" but yes I see the specs now. It still stands what I said. The 3325 has acceleration

how is this compared to the talentech ember or zowie ec2? I don't game but it seems like they can make good mice. I'm not the biggest fan of the G502 shape.

The Talentech also has the 3325 which is fine but not great for FPS. The Zowie is much much better. Both a and b run on flawless sensors. A on the 3310 and the b on the updated and better 3360

I guess I don't care much about gaming, seems like they make a big deal about it but I've kicked ass with a trackpad and with a cheap office mouse. What do the better sensors do? They're better but maybe not much real world difference.

They have acceleration. There is a real world difference if you're playing games like CS go or anything that needs precision. Otherwise the 3325 is a good sensor for most.
