Hahaha... If this was my wife and I's first tent, we definitely would have gotten divorced. A dome tent with 4 poles was bad enough.

Same here. I'll stick with my 4-pole 13x9 tent for my weekend camping trips. I can't believe this thing has 10 poles!

It looks like a somewhat sturdy design though, so it might be a decent tent if you leave it up for a longer period of time. (Maybe?) It definitely looks like a more rain resistant design than some cabin tents I've had where rainwater pools up on the roof and takes the whole thing down!

I've got a Coleman Octagon 98 (13x13) which has 8 poles, and each pole actually has two separate segments - the roof segment and the wall segment, so kind of like 16 poles total really, but assembly isn't too bad. One person can set it up, but it does take some time. Definitely more work and a lot heavier than a typical square/rectangular tent, so it's not for backpacking trips, but it's nice and very sturdy for extended multi-day stays in one spot.

I mean, it very clearly says "or" between those two things, and even specifies that the 12 campers would be if using sleeping bags.
