Refurb, but seems like a great deal nonetheless.

From notebookcheck.net:

Architecture
Intel basically used the familiar micro architecture from the Skylake / Kaby Lake generation, so the per-MHz performance is identical.

Looking for a new 2-in-1, but If the above is true, this is the same IPC as my Skylake SP4 from 2015, but with slower non-iris graphics in exchange for extra 800mhz...

I have been searching for a laptop and tablet form factor.
The problem with tablet use on this type of convertible is shortage of apps and the problem with ios or android tablet is they can't extend some common Windows applications.
May be a device with both os will help solve this .
Not seeing any reputed brands building them though.
Let me know if you disagree,I have been looking for something

Did a little more research - this also supports pen input but the pen is not included.

Surface go when on sale can be had for under $500, normally around $550. Galaxy Tab S4 for $500. If you willing to spend this much though surface pro 6 for $700 is the best choice.

You'll rarely find BD drives in laptops these days. Convertibles are too small. Ultrabooks same deal. Budget machines will have dvd drives only. And most desktop replacements will have dual ssds or large cooling mechanisms.

Only a few select gaming laptops woild fit your bill. Better off buying a $55 external BD drive.

Some 17" laptops but not convertibles will. As Star mentioned your better off just buying a cheap USB external for just about any laptop you buy.
