I was thinking about getting this to do some Fusion renderings. Any idea on if it would be acceptable for that? I am not expecting it to do it in real time.

Can this handle X-Plane 11 reasonably well?

Are you thinking about the open box ones? best buy does have an open box version of this with a 1TB HDD and 125GB sata SSD for $630 every couple of months - non open box sale price of $700. Lowest I've even seen that model was around $675

this model is different with a *presumably* faster/better 512 gb PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD

the Ryzen 5 2400G version of this PC? 100% yes $630

No. This was $630 last month with Google 10 percent coupon. Just the storage was different. 128GB SSD with 1TB HDD. Dell has similar one for same price or cheaper.

depending on your needs I guess, the best buy one has a better graphics, however it does have a slower CPU processing power and less ram for the same amount of money. I would definitely go with the microcenter deal.

Another thing to consider is the upgrade ability of each machine if you do plan to do so in the future. these are just my 2 cents though haha

So i'd say go for the AMD one with the 580, ryzen 7 2700 and 16 gb ram

The SSD from the intel / best buy one is prob a SATA, slower then the NVMe SSD. The AMD one has extra spot for a HDD so you can put a cheap 4TB one in if you want. The intel model also only has 8Gb ram vs the AMDs 16Gb.

the graphics cards will preform similar to each other (some games are optimized better for one then the other) but the AMD model does have 1 gb more then the 1060 3bg. But I honestly only know that

The processor - https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Com...3957vs3939

now this new post is an even better deal https://slickdeals.net/f/13349068-it-s-back-skytech-archangel-gaming-desktop-ryzen-2600x-gtx-1660-16gb-ddr4-500gb-ssd-660-free-s-h?attrsrc=Test%3AHideExpiredSearch%3AHide%20Expired&src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1

How is this compared to the one below? I understand some of the specs this has are better, but wanted to get opinion on how significant is the diff.

My purpose would be mostly office tasks which is less taxing, open many tabs and browsers (30-40 at least) some with videos, flash etc.
Some gaming, possible VR. Does this support VR?

HP - Pavilion Gaming Desktop
- AMD Ryzen 5-Series 2400 G
- 8GB Memory (assume we add an additional ram ~60$)
- AMD Radeon RX 580 4gb
-1TB Hard Drive + 128GB Solid State https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JJ1Z...EDbZWSKEA6
