in 4 1, i know it's not best price but we might won't see lower price for a while, Japan restricted exports of critical materials used in LED to Korea.

Honestly my exact same dilemma. I lean towards the LG for 2 reasons:

Native 144hz vs overclocked Alienware to 120hz
Technically "newer" in release age but that is not a big concern

Two other small tics in the LGs favor is HDR, though it is very limited and probably not that much of a positive, and subjectively I like the thinner profile (it seems thinner anyway) than the Alienware.

A few points for the Alienware is it does have better sRGB coverage, and I think the aesthetics of the alienware are nicer/looks more premium.

Most research also favors the LG slightly if price points are essencially equal. Waiting for the LG to hit 799 again somewhere to jump in.

dropped 50 bucks again, 849 now. Wonder if this trend will continue with the 38 coming out this fall.
