All I want is for the dang salt and vinegar to be included in one of these blue diamond deals. It's either the Wasabi or some other variant, every time. This has me feeling salty, and leaves a bad taste (of vinegar) in my mouth. If only there were some way to combine these two in a bag of almonds that would hit the front page.

Dangit I'm late to Amazon for the smokehouse. I just grabbed a bag at Sam's two days ago and these are by far my favorite thing right now.

This set off my diamond alert intended for jewelry, guess I need to add smokehouse too.

I bought this, last time around. It was ok. They are smaller than usual. I prefer fresh raw nuts, not cooked in peanut oil. Almonds taste like wood.
So you're saying you like big nuts?

It's only about $2 less than Amazon's regular price. Not that slick. Why Front page?

Next time you want almonds. Buy the raw ones from Costco, almost 3 pounds for $12 or so. Take four cups full. Soak them in water over night. Next day peel off the skin of the almonds. Then rinse them over once or twice. Then lay them out on dehydrator sheets and dehydrate them at low temperature (100 degrees) for 24 hours.

Taste and crunchiness so much better. Our intestines should not be put through the rigorous process of digesting the outer skin of almonds.

Good info, but I think most of us just want to open a bag and munch, not plan 48 hours ahead for a snack. ;-) I guess you can make them ahead of time and store.

Is it time intensive to remove the skins or do you have a quick process?

The soaking over night, makes it really easy to just press slightly and the almond pops right out of its skin.

One thing I forgot to mention. Use purified water or your drinking water. I don't use city water. Not clean enough.

Actually it takes like 37 hours or less Wink from the prepping to peeling to dehydrating.
