Nopes.. sadly soldered to the board
Is see that it's 4GB Soldered + 4GB SO-DIMM DDR4-2400. If I remove 4GB and add an 8GB, would it affect the dual channel performance?

The performance impact from having that much more ram is far greater than having dual channel

I got this laptop with the pen included on prime day. After popping in an extra 12Gb of RAM it runs beautifully.
Pros:
Good construction with a nice rubberized matte top and the hinges feel sturdy.
Sharp, clear screen.
Touchscreen functions well.
RAM is upgradable.
Fast (with extra RAM).
Backlit keyboard feels nice to type on (for me at least).
Works well in tablet mode.
Can use active stylus.
Cons
No USB 3 charging.
Only one spot for the hard drive.
The stylus can be a little finicky.
Battery life isnt fantastic.
Max brightness on screen is still dim compared to other laptops in this range.

In addition it can be used for light to mid gaming and works awesome in table mode for games like slay the spire and wargroove as well as digital board games.

Don't blame your bad design skills on my comprehension.Ha ha The designer could fix this in 2 seconds with one paragraph: "Pen supported. Not included."
Maybe the designer could, but the marketing department won't let them. I bet it's a mix of bad skills in both areas.

Is this metal body or plastic?

I think that's one of the most important parts of the decision to purchase a laptop.

Edit: dug a bit deeper and someone on Amazon.com state it has an aluminum case.

This, plus touch, 2-in-1, and nvme makes it worth the $60 extra from the $399 Asus laptop from Costco. Same processor and ram.

The SDer in me still want the Asus though. It has a very thin bezel screen...

I agree with you. After owning a fully aluminum body laptop, all plastic body laptops feel cheap to the touch now. Can't ever go back.

Looking at the specs, doesnt this mean it's upgradable?

You can take out the removable 4gb and replace with a 12gb module.

He either meant 16GB or "short-circuited" the math in his head (4GB+8GB).

Max ram is 20gb with addition of a 16gb module. The memory will run in flex mode. 8gb (4+4) will run in dual channel and the rest single. Good laptop, bought it on amazon which came with the stylus. Screen is glossy and a fingerprint magnet but otherwise I'm happy with my purchase. I used a credit card with price protection as I anticipate seeing this closer to the 400 mark soon

okay, that makes sense, I thought I was going crazy.

So buy a 16GB stick for $60 bucks, sell the 4GB stick for ~$20, have a ~$500 laptop with these specs plus 20GB of RAM sounds like a pretty compelling offer to me.

Are there any performance gains graphics wise between these new gen ryzen mobile APUs and last gen?
