Asus is definitely a very good deal but I think there are important differences to know.

Asus has a smaller battery at 37WHr vs 45WHr in exchange for lower weight. A 20% increase in battery size can result around an extra hour of use. The larger battery is beneficial for those who don't often have access power sockets for extra 0.3 lb.

Asus is slightly thicker at 0.78" vs 0.7" in exchange for a slightly less depth 8.3" vs 9". Its very minor difference objectively but it makes a big difference in perceived portability of laptops.

Asus has a smaller trackpad base on available photos. Width might be very similar but the depth is where its differs. Keep in mind Lenovo overall is deeper by 0.7" notice the small gap from space bar to touchpad and the Asus tried to minimize the look of gap with contours.

Asus uses SATA SSD vs NVME by Lenovo. The difference in performance is minimal but NVME is more of a future proofing measure. Newer OS might be able to take advantage of the faster storage.

Lastly Asus is non touch screen. Some like it and some don't but touchscreen does reduce overall brightness as manufacturers need to add another layer between the light source and the protective glass. Personally, I don't need it as its just another point of failure and extra weight.

Asus specs [asus.com] Lenovo specs [lenovo.com]

I'm personally torn between the two since I don't need the touch screen but would love the extra battery and a larger touchpad. Because I often work long stretch without a power source and don't carry a mouse with me the Lenovo deal might be good enough for me to pull the trigger.
Wondering if the larger battery fills in the spot for a extra drive on the Lenovo. It's right beside the battery on my Asus. Something to consider.

I got this laptop with the pen included on prime day. After popping in an extra 12Gb of RAM it runs beautifully.
Pros:
Good construction with a nice rubberized matte top and the hinges feel sturdy.
Sharp, clear screen.
Touchscreen functions well.
RAM is upgradable.
Fast (with extra RAM).
Backlit keyboard feels nice to type on (for me at least).
Works well in tablet mode.
Can use active stylus.
Cons
No USB 3 charging.
Only one spot for the hard drive.
The stylus can be a little finicky.
Battery life isnt fantastic.
Max brightness on screen is still dim compared to other laptops in this range.

In addition it can be used for light to mid gaming and works awesome in table mode for games like slay the spire and wargroove as well as digital board games.
I'm in the same boat. Can't be happier with my purchase. I ditched my 2015 MBP and my Pixelbook after getting this one. Can play Civ 6 pretty well too.

Looks like it is right next to the battery for the lenovo too. Hardware manual [lenovo.com] on page 35. It may have to do with the more compact packaging of the motherboard and I/O board.

I'm kind of wishing I jumped on the Yoga 730 13" deal a couple of weeks back. The 15" was thinner at 0.67" but the 13" was 0.55" with a 48WHr battery and 11hr battery.

It literally shows a stylus in the product images with the laptop touching the screen..
This stuff has been misleading before. MS loves to show the Surface with the keyboard but sells it separately just to be douches.

Just spent the past 2-3 hours applying updates and patches. Also spent some time in tablet mode and most of the time in laptop mode.

THIS PURCHASE WAS A NO BRAINER. I almost pulled the trigger on a Surface Pro 6 today and would have spent close to 2x.

I am SO glad I made this purchase. Will be adding a 16GB stick of ram soon. Can't wait.

This thing can play 4K/5K youtube content and the display is AWESOME.

Thanks OP!!

This FOR $517 OR HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-bq213cl 15.6" FHD Touch Notebook AMD Ryzen 5 8GB 256GB SSD (refurbished) FOR $543
The HP's have poor cooling so best to stay away. I got my wife the Lenovo for her bday. I swapped the m2 for an inland 1tb and stuck in a 16gb stick of ram. It works very well.

That depends on your definition of nicely. At stock... eh, after upgrading maybe.

I also got the I5 version, waiting for it to arrive.

Anyone know the performance difference btw this one and the I5 version?

Price is about the same.
16GB vs 8GB but can upgrade.

From quick googling, Ryen 5 3500U has GPU.
Wondering if I should return I5 and get this...
If your going to be doing any gaming whatsoever you get this, the Vega 8 is vastly better then the UHD 620 I am assuming comes with your I5.

Please don't buy lenovo products. I have owned 2 separate lenovo laptops that were nothing but problems. They're horrible, Lenovo's customer service is horrible, and they break super easily. Not to mention the bloatware is atrocious. Literally buy any other brand over lenovo and acer.

This comes from years of pc experience.

I agree on the atrocious customer service. Their product is good though; some models have had build issues, but overall I've had a positive experience with Lenovo laptops as a brand.
