Did anyone else pretty much tire of Fallout with this release?

I recall enjoying New Vegas quite a bit. I dunno what happened with Fallout 4...I played for maybe 10 hours and just never got into it.. I haven't played again since.

Maybe its the old graphics or it feeling too repetitive or too tedious to do stuff or whatever.

Maybe its just far more interesting alternative games.

Not sure I'll ever get back into it.

I sunk just over 100hrs easy into this game. Combat is fun, the dialogue was downgrade from 3 and New Vegas. Other than that it's a good game. There's plenty of single player fun to be had. I never finished the story. My backlog of games is too big I just moved onto the next game. I haven't had a desire to go back.

Hell yeah, Fallout:Frost here I come!

I found FO:4 pretty fun, a couple of the DLCs are great, maybe better than the base game. But there's lots of fun mods too, including a couple really good complete games.

Nope. Almost 1,000 hours here. Love it. Building settlements is fun, but it's only for the creative type person. Hell, I've got almost 100 hours just into Home Plate. If you're into mind-numbing and repetitive shooting shit, then there's always Halo, CoD, Fortnite, Anthem, or whatever other trendy, rehashed games the ADD-riddled 12 year olds are playing these days.

I'd like to go back and play the DLCs, does anyone care to PM me their main story complete save file? I lost mine when my hard drive crashed.

Maybe I'll give F4 another try someday.

Currently I'm just playing Witcher 3 which is far more interesting to me than I recall F4 ever being.

I have Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Far Cry 5 in the queue.

I played some Destiny 2 in the past year and that had some fun bits although I got to a point of tiring of that a little too.

Just the fact this is fallout makes me want to get it, but I just can't justify it. I had the exact same experience as you. I've sunk thousands of hours into fallout 3 and fallout new vegas, but only about 10-15 on fallout 4. I just couldn't handle it. It never felt like I was playing fallout. It felt like a different game with a fallout skin on it.

People love Witcher, but I couldn't get into it. Didnt even make it past training. Something about the controls bugged me, but I don't recall what it was. Shadow of the Tomb raider is an uninspired, pale shell of the previous reboot games. I found it to be little more than a boring reskinned clone of the others. Far Cry 5 is an utter mess...which is sad, considering I had a hell of a good time getting 100% completion in all the other games in the series. Game simply felt like a half-assed cash grab.

Not trying to squash your future gaming, just don't expect too much and you'll be fine.
