Or this 32" with 1440 resolution at $299. This is a VA panel. Is it better than IPS?

32" LED display with 2560 x 1440 resolution

VA is mostly on par with IPS, with less IPS glow in dark scenes. Some VA panels suffer from 'dirty screen' effect in white scenes. IPS is known for slightly better color accuracy.

Of course it's TN. 240hz at 27inch. I have this Monitor when it was 260. Very nice and works very well. Worth it for the price. Color and sharpness is amazing as well.

I like ips better, and dont think there is a great benefit at 240hz vs 144hz. I would rather the picture look good than notice a 7/10 of a frame. Looking forward to getting a LG UltraGear.

I prefer va now, honestly. Contrast is much better, usually better response times, compared to IPS. Plus I wouldn't want to chase 240hz. Only would if I played competitive fps at a professional level, and nothing else.

It may be 1080p, but outside of esports titles that are extremely optimized, it will be hard to push those frames. Plus, once I see 240hz I'd probably hate 144hz after, and not be able to tolerate it.

Those 2 4K ips monitors below the 240hz model are also way too expensive for what they are.

43inch 4K tvs WITH wide gamut are only ~200-300, there's no reason why a 27" version should be that expensive.

He was comparing the 240hz panel here to a 144hz va panel though, not the 2 4k monitors listed here

I bought this last time it was on sale. You only want this monitor for 2 major reasons.

1. You play competitive First Person Shooters where having the absolutely highest frames per second matters. IPS (more virbrant colors) and ultra settings don't matter. Games like Fortnite, PUBG, Overwatch, etc.

2. You have a beefy gaming PC that pushes close to 200 frames per second so you can take advantage of the 240hz refresh rate. If your rig can barely do 100-150 on any of the above games. Don't buy, stick to 144hz.
