I thought the same but compared to 5ah it's larger and heavier in every way, was assuming . It's kinda weird as the new 3ah doesn't seem that big compared to 2ah, but the 6 is a monster. I don't have any flexvolt but those have to be silly.

I haven't weighed it yet but it seems noticably heavier.

Actually be right back will weight them.

Soo my scale which could be off says 30.5oz for 6ah and 21.9oz for 5ah.,.. meaning it's 20% more ah but 39%heavier
These are probably on sale because there are 20v 8ah batteries coming out that are the same physical size as this. The 6ah 20v battery is def heavier then the 5 like you said but its because it has the new larger 21700 high output cells (10 cells) compared to the normal 18650 cells. You can feel more power from the tool with this battery compared to the 5ah . The flexvolt 6ah is 15 18650 cells. This 20v 6ah is more powerful then the flexvolt 6ah but same runtime. The flexvolt 9ah and 12ah use the 21700 high output cells. And are the largest batteries. These high output batteries are mainly for use with saws and other high powered tools and not really impacts and drills although they will work

I sold the trimmer for $90 and the charger for $25 and kept the battery from that deal. I never have a problem piecing out DeWalt gear in my area on FB marketplace. Just in case anyone was wondering the feasibility of this idea.
Hmmm. I need to try FB Marketplace. CL has been hit or miss for selling stuff near me.

These would last a very long time in the fan or the lights.

Still somewhat regret returning the $99 Blower and $99 Weed Trimmer that came with a 5ah each. Should have just sold the bare tools for the batteries
Yes, you could have almost sold the bare tool for the price of the kit (I sold my trimmer for $95)
