According to reviews on Amazon, these have an extremely high rate of failure or breaking down.

I just got the 1440p version of this from Staples (refurb) for $150. It took a few weeks to here. Other than that, it has worked flawlessly.

1080p may not be great for everyone but it certainly will work for many.

Costco had the 32" LG IPS 1080p for $129.99 for an entire month a few months back with little interest. But this Acer has potential to be cheaper if you have a better coupon and Rewards. Unfortunately I've used all my Rewards already.

Still on the hunt for a couple solid 1440p 32" + VESA for work. Deals always seem to be missing something...

This is an opinion that doesnt apply to everyone but I think 1080p monitors look bad on anything 27" or bigger. Might be good for older eyes though.

Thanks op. My parents have been running a 32" 720p tv as a monitor and I used their comp for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was exhausting on my eyes. Hopefully this is a noticeable upgrade for a problem they apparently don't realize they have.

Thanks OP. Bought one for someone who likes to have the monitor at a distance.

While I like the idea of using high res and making fonts large, high res is a problem with software she uses.

Clearing out inventory of the lower resolution? I agree at this size it should be a 1440p or 4k monitor.
