Would not PM me at local Walmart. Never had a problem before. Cashier was super rude and manager acted like I was trying to fraud them and said the Walmart.com page I showed them was contradicting their site (also Walmart.com...???) and they couldn't do anything. First time brickseek ever worked for me too.
Mine too. Read my comment above. Lets do something to stop their fraud (false advertisement) and bad customer service (rudeness and blaming us when their website doesnt have what is advertised).
There is no logical reason for a manager to deny price match for the same size item with a different lid.
Obviously we would not buy the higher priced item. We waste gas and time - because of an advertised sale item. They gain a potential sale of other items, by enticing us to come to their store. I had other shopping to do, but refused to buy from that store since they were rude.

It's not Brickseek, it's just that WalMart's inventory is so terrible. I usually only go to the store if WalMart's site also says that it's in stock, and even then it's not guaranteed to be there.
Exactly this. I used to blame Brickseek but it's primarily Walmart that has the issue.

Too often, their inventory is not accurate, especially at stores that are poorly managed. Employees carelessly mis-stock items, stash items somewhere for themselves to buy later, or simply steal stuff. So the numbers are inaccurate and rarely reconciled, which makes for empty trips top Walmart for many SDers, myself included.

Rather than whine about it, I just accept it for what it is and don't waste my time chasing down these Walmart deals for the most part, unless it's at a store that I know manages their inventory properly, or unless I am at Walmart to buy something else anyway.

Checked brickseek and said 10 in stock. Walmart website said 5 in stock. Went to the store and not a single red handle in sight, only blue handles.

Talked to an associate and she said they haven't had those since xmas. I ran into the same issues as others so this is very very YMMV.

Last summer I needed a laptop and Walmart had an Acer on clearance. Using Brickseek as my guide I had to go to 7 Walmarts to finally get it.

Totally agree with others It's not Brickseek's fault. Walmart's employees and inventory system are terrible.

These boxes look good if you can find them. I'm going to a Walmart near me tomorrow anyway. Brickseek and Walmart say they are in stock. Hopefully, they are but I doubt it.

The Walmart in Grove City (Columbus,OH) reported 15 available, but of course none in-store. The associate gave me a rain check if/when they ever come back in stock but after reading these comments above I'm guessing they will never come back in, boo…

Brick seek with Walmart is so frustrating. It said there were 11 at my local store and there were none.

My store said 22 in stock and I couldn't find one either.

Spoke to the overnight stock manager and he said that a lot of times someone will buy 10 (2 green, 2 red, etc) and then just scan the green ones as 10 which will lead to negative inventory of one color and positive of the other. He seemed annoyed by it. I'm sure self checkout also doesn't help.

Honestly.. when I see brickseek and a walmart deal, I automatically pass. Walmart is like the wild wild west / mad max of the shopping mart world. Their employees don't even know what's going on in their own stores. Just sharing my opinion is all. If you get this deal, you are the best of us and a gladiator of the 21st century lol! Happy hunting!

TY. This shows why it's wrong for managers to be rude to us (3x for me). And why WM needs to be punished with a corporate policy to all stores: you must Price match for same size items.

Why? WM is forcing their employee/stock problem unto us, forcing us to waste gas on a wild chase - then allowing local managers to disrespect or call us liars when we say the sale price. Here's a list of excuses the manager gave me, without thinking.
  1. It's online sale price only. [No WM page said "Price for in-store purchase only" And I showed the screenshot of this wording.]
  2. It has to be shipped and sold by WM. [No, that's not what the sale said. And shipping was not available. It was for in store only.]
  3. It's a different UPC so we can't price match. [Wrong. I know it's a different color - but it's the same size. They CAN override. I asked for an exception because they got me in the store by advertising a false price/inventory - and then they got me to buy other things. Compromise like this is good business.]
  4. It's our policy that we can't price match (can't honor advertisement - yet other WM did). [I asked them to show me the policy and they cant. They say it's on the website, and I ask to show me where. They didn't. Next time I'll ask for it in writing.]

What I think is happening: WM corporate puts an item on sale to get rid of the stock, and look good on paper, or calculate final sales for that item. (Or item discontinued, or seasonal.)

But the guy above explained how employee error leds to false numbers on WM computers. So we check online then go in. Managers refuse to honor their advertised price + numbers; then get mad at us. When it's all WM's fault. So they must pay with Price Match for costing us gas + time.
