I haven't had a synth since the microkorg. I'm guessing this would be leagues ahead. Ugh but I need a full weighed keyboard. I need to be persuaded...

What sort of ancillary equipment do you need to make this work? Is it just plug and play or do you need additional speakers, cables etc?

the microkorg is a classic. i'd debate that it's better than the deepmind 6 at least. it's certainly capable of more variety of sounds and not as reliant on needing many voices and octaves. though it requires more menu diving and has a worse keyboard.. it's also more portable as a result.

objectively they both have pros and cons. subjectively the microkorg is better. either way the deepmind 6 is not leagues ahead.

Thanks for the response. I've been out of the loop. I just hated the mini keys. Had it hooked up to a sampler but the mini keys didn't do it for me. If the interface is easier for this one, I may just dive and get it.

You'll probably need a amp. I usually use a bass amp. I took up my bass to with a mixer. Throw in a looper pedal and you have yourself a band.

I've been wanting to purchase my first analogue synth and couldn't pass up this deal. Everything I read online says it is amazing for the full price, so this sale makes it even better. Thanks!

I've got the 12 voice version, and it's an amazing synth for the price. The effects are quite good too.

There's a bit of menu diving, but nothing too horrible. Has a nice iPad editor as well.

it has a better interface but there is still some menu diving in the deepmind as well . if you want the best affordable interface i'd look into the korg minilogue which can be found used for around 300 now that the new minilogue xd came out. these do have mini keys too, but they're longer than standard ones and i personally find them quite good for playing. deepmind is also a good choice i just think it shines with 12 voices and 4+ octaves.

Hey thanks! I have a cheap guitar amp and a few cables. Thinking to try this out!
