Depends on what inputs your studio monitors accept, but most likely you would need 2x 1/4 inch to XLR cables (the audio out on this Scarlett is 1/4 inch, most studio monitors have XLR inputs).

Ok, dumb question. Could I use this to connect my turntable to my computer to convert some old records to mp3?

If you're outputing mono from your turntable via XLR or 1/4" at line level you probably could, but you may still want a pre-amp with an EQ.

I think you mean RCA, not 1/4 inch for this specific audio interface? The line level output is RCA on the solo.

That's a vague. Wouldn't software simple solve that issue? What do you recommend as a device that provides good quality?

Anyone else have knowledge about the Behringer UM2 vs this one? I want something simple and the UM2 is $40. It seems like they both have pros and cons, with the focusrite being overall better quality. The UM2 is half the price, but there's a significant number (12%) of 1-star reviews on Amazon. But there is similarly a number of 1-star reviews (15%) for the focusrite. I appreciate the informative posts but I wish there were more assuring praise or criticism so I make an easier, definitive choice. At this point it seems like a no-brainer to get the UM2 instead as it's way cheaper, but no one seems to make that case so I'm still unsure. Thanks in advance.

Your question was vague.
Tascam UH7000?
RME Babyface Pro?
Audient id44?
Or maybe just a NI Komplete Audio 6?
If you want quality, it won't be cheap, and what more do you need, what mics do you have, etc.? Probably try gearslutz instead of Slickdeals for a recommendation best suited to your situation and goals.
