About a month ago they had the same deal except it was the 2600X not the regular 2600 and it came with the x470 F-Gaming not the x370 F-Gaming. and the deal was $10 more than this one. Is this deal bad??? No, but for the $10 difference you get an upgraded 2600 with faster clock speeds, and you get a generation new mobo. If you're in a rush. Go for it. If you just wanna wait and get great deals on good parts, I'd wait for the other deal to come back around. or wait for the 3600x to bundle with a mobo.

I know this is last gen, but this processor with an X-series board for $170 seems like a great deal to me.

Was thinking of using this for my sleeper build. Using an old XPS 630i tower

This is a solid deal before the rebate, and a fantastic deal after.

I was planning to wait for some Black Friday 3600 sales, but this seems too good to pass up. ASUS rebates have always come through for me. The mobo reviews aren't too inspiring, but I guess it's biased and generally only people with problems bother to post anything.

Pretty good vrms on that board unless Asus changed it 😅. Great deal on combo. 2 gen old board but still much better than entry level b450 boards

That deal didn't have a $50 rebate iirc so effectively it was $60 more?

Thinking of upgrading my Plex server from 6700 to this. Think it needs 3200mhz ram? I have a bunch of 2133 laying around.

Wouldn't this MOBO need a BIOS update before it could even use that CPU? For the love of god if they send out MOBO without that particular BIOS update then they are gonna screw over a lot of customers. I sincerely hope that's not the case, but I will not be the first person to guinea pig that theory.
